Friendster goes Disney

I just got a friendster message from someone I was totally secret crushed out on a few months ago. Who I sent a friendster message to in February. And who I just hidden bookmarked. Someone told me that bookmarks don't show up if they're hidden, but when I got the message I felt just like Sebastian in The Little Mermaid when he decides that the king knows Ariel's in love with Prince Eric.
Yes, I did in fact just reference a Disney animated film. No, it is not possible to tease me for it because I was eleven when it came out and it was the first new, hot, animated Disney musical to use computer animation and I was taken in by the shiny pretty things and I still, in fact have the poster at home. So I've owned my reference.
Yeah, and nobody was going to make fun anyway, because deep down everyone gets drawn in by animated musicals.
Anyway, back to friendster stalking. It has gotten much harder now that you can limit who sees your profile or sends you messages. Janeane Garofalo is still viewable. (potential message: Hey Janeane, we were at the same Le Tigre show and I made up a story about how we met and talked about women's studies degrees and how you're coming to my school next year. Do you want to be my friendster?) Alan Cumming is not. (potential message: Alan, I know you don't know me, but I think you're perfect for my as yet unwritten revamping of Free to Be...You and Me. Will you be my friendster?)
Perhaps it's creepy that one can search friendster for such indy celebrities and then never add them as friends. Perhaps. Or perhaps it's the opposite of creepy.
No, creepy. For sure. But at least they're not bookmarked. (yet)
So the long and short of it is that the girl I sent the message to in February thought we were already friendsters, which maybe explains why she never got back to me. I had been feeling like a total dejected loser, but have now become the super confident hot kid of the moment. That's how it goes.
I'll just be singing some Little Mermaid songs now.
