These Dreams

Last night I had a dream that involved a visit with my families, Marx and Girlfriend; Best Amie and Girlfriendall; The Mom and Dad. Marx gave me a tiny skirt to wear to a wedding where red and black were very appropriate colors.
Instead of the wedding, we ended up at the House of Blues, which apparently looks a lot like a mediocre pretend-outdoors space in the center of a mall. Le Tigre was supposed to play, but Kathleen Hanna did a solo show instead.
She was a drag queen, with giant wigs and some sort of comedic shtick going on. She might have sung songs, but I can't remember. I started crying during her set, and at the end of her first number she gave me an animal cracker.
I also ran into a waitress from one of the local Mexican restaurants, and she sat on my lap during one number. It was weird because I wasn't sure if she was hitting on me, and I didn't really want her to be if she was.
Also during Drag Kathleen's set was an appearance by Janeane Garofalo, who had really short hair exactly the color I wanted my tips to be (a delightful red orange). People were screaming at her, maybe saying she wasn't punk rock enough, and she looked really confused. She had been working at American Eagle, and was decked out in stuff that said AE in really large letters. So maybe that's why everyone was yelling.
Somewhere in there, Kathleen threw everyone a variety of cookies, and I was in my bed at home. It all blurs together because I didn't write it down. But my favorite part was definitely Drag Kathleen and her wigs.
When she handed me the animal cracker, I think she told me everything was going to be ok. I think Le Tigre can make almost anything better, particularly when they give you animal crackers.
