It Hurts to Be This Sexy

	So I am officially sick, and officially flying across the country (!) in a few hours. The sick is all about some swollen tonsils, and it just happened yesterday. I got in to the health center and got antibiotics, though, so I'm hoping to be doing a lot better by the end of the week. The cross country flight is all about the conference at UCLA where I will be presenting a paper at my very first graduate conference. I'm nervous, and I still need to tweak my paper (and shorten it). Mostly, I'm in the moment of being excited about flying to LA and seeing my friend, Marx's Girlfriend, who is presenting at the same conference. We planned an academia party by applying to the same conference--it won't be the last time this happens, to be sure. So yes. We're staying in Santa Monica, where we will go to the beach just a little and enjoy the sun a lot lot lot. The fresh air will be good for my constitution, I hope. Be back Sunday-ish. I am missing SUBMIT tonight, though, which makes me sad (it's fun times) and mildly happy (I'm sick, so I couldn't make out with anyone, at least not in good conscience). Maybe I will make out with an L-word lesbian in LA.
